What to expect during your visit.

At the initial visit be prepared to provide a verbal history including a description of your current concern. We’ll also take you through a full body movement assessment which includes actions such as a toe touch, trunk rotations, walking and a full squat, etc. This creates a shared understanding of your starting point. Once we’ve covered the basics, Doc will provide a differential diagnosis and recommendations of possible treatment modalities.

The second visit is known as the report of findings. Doc will summarize the initial visit and discuss the recommended treatment plan including frequency and duration. From there we’ll do an abbreviated movement assessment specific to the complaint and begin treatment. Your appointment will wrap with some corrective exercises to be done at home.

Do your homework – your success in achieving results relies on you!

All subsequent visits will start off with an abbreviated movement assessment, then treatment and any necessary tweaks to the prescribed corrective exercises.

“When I first came to Dr. Don with foot pain, I could barely walk and had been through injections and MRI’s. Don immediately saw that the problem was my hips and not my feet. Don has a heavy focus on challenging exercises and doing them correctly – they’re very hard but they work. He is very bright and can integrate other issues into thoughtful conversation – I always leave Don’s office having learned something. Through my work with Don, I have gained the tools to ensure I stay strong to avoid the pain.”
