What is chiropractic care at Personal Best Chiropractic?

Chiropractic care is holistic medicine that focuses on movement of the spine and other joints to help the body become more efficient in daily activity. This is done through a variety of therapies including but not limited to joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy and corrective exercise strategies.

Will it hurt? What about the next day?

It’s subjective to the patient and dependent on the therapy received. For example, soft tissue therapy can be uncomfortable when pressure is applied to guarded muscles. (The longer you have inflammation in a given area, the more your body is going to try to protect it and those muscles become what we refer to as guarded.) With chiropractic adjustments it’s common to feel soreness if you’re new to adjustments or if it’s been a while since your last visit.

How quickly will I feel relief?

How quickly you feel relief is unique to each patient. Some patients feel relief at the end of their first treatment, for others it can take several visits.
